How Even works

Create a group or join one. Add expenses with an amount, title, and optional notes. That keeps a transparent record of what was paid together.
Balances & splits
Even shows balances and splits in the group so everyone sees the same answer to “who owes whom.” You can adjust amounts until it feels fair for the group.
Shared overview
Invited members see the expenses and balances of their groups — not your entire private life. Anything you keep only for yourself stays outside the group.
Even does not replace household rules or verbal agreements — it helps you look at the same facts.

Privacy
Your data belongs to you
Even is intentionally lean. We process only what is needed for groups, expenses, synchronization, and support — plus what you save in the app.
We typically store:
- Local display name and app settings
- Groups, expenses, splits, and related metadata
- Invite and group metadata where needed for joining a group
- App settings (e.g. language, notifications)
What we deliberately do not do
- No location tracking
- No GPS route profiling
- No movement profiles
- No third-party ad or analytics SDKs in the app
- No selling personal data
- No sharing with third parties for marketing

What can I use Even for?

Is my location tracked?
No. Even is not a location app and does not analyse GPS routes.
Is Even a bank or payment service?
No. Even does not move money for you and does not store bank credentials. Payments still happen through your usual channels (transfer, cash, card, etc.).
Where do I see pricing or subscriptions?
Current terms (download, paid features, subscriptions) are shown in the App Store and on Google Play — that is the source of truth for what applies to you.
Can I use Even offline?
You generally need the internet to create and sync expenses. Already loaded content may be visible offline briefly, depending on the app version.
How do I remove my data?
You can remove local app data on your device. Synchronized group data follows the app features, group roles, and privacy notices.
